BIM in Birmingham

BIM In Birmingham is an internationally and nationally recognized event for both practitioners and students that has been hosted by Birmingham City University in January 2017, 2018, 2019. The event focuses on the importance of BIM (Building Information Modelling) and how it can aid the design process in the built environment. The event brings together architects, architectural students from BCU as well as other schools of architecture around the country for networking, learning and gaining an insight into contemporary practices in BIM. Keynotes have been from globally well-known practices and specialists in the field and short talks are delivered from guest speakers who present on behalf of notable local, national and international practices and institutions. Discussions and presentations to date have circled around the future of BIM, case studies, current practice and BIM and its impact on the built environment and the future of the profession.
