PDF in Revit in one click
For many years, I’ve been an Archicad user, and one of the things that became essential in my workflow was the ability to attach PDF documentation to Archicad files.
In Archicad projects, I would add information such as: cadastral records, urban planning regulations, house details, commercial details, etc. When I started using Revit, it was one of the things I missed. The truth is, opening a PDF, taking a screenshot, and inserting said screenshot takes no more than 30 seconds… but when a task becomes repetitive and a machine doesn’t do it for you, it’s time to spend 5 minutes thinking that you’re not doing something right.
The plugin converts the PDF file to PNG format to minimize the loss of quality and inserts it into the currently active view. This generated PNG file is saved in the same folder as the PDF with the same name so we can keep track of which files are converted to PNG and which aren’t.
