ZIGURAT announces its International Online AI Congress applied to Architecture and Construction
ZIGURAT Institute of Technology, a pioneer in specialised online training for the AECO sector, will hold its first ZIGURAT AI Congress, entirely focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in architecture, engineering, and construction. This global online event will be delivered in three languages: Spanish, Portuguese, and English. The sessions in Spanish and Portuguese will take place on 13th May, while the English version is scheduled for 15th May.
Last February, the institution successfully launched the first online master’s programme focused on AI in architecture and construction, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to technological innovation as a key driver for the industry’s future.
Under the slogan “Smart Workflows for Smart Construction,” the event will feature internationally recognised experts who will present real-world cases and AI applications throughout the entire lifecycle of AECO projects. Speakers for the AI Congress English edition include:
- Lilian Ho, Senior BIM Manager and Digital Leader at AECOM, renowned mentor at Women in AI and Women in BIM, Director of the Master’s in Artificial Intelligence for Architecture & Construction.
- Guillermo Corral, Urban Design specialist at MCORM Architecture and Urban Design, and lecturer in ZIGURAT’s Master’s programmes: Master’s in Global Smart City Management, Máster en Inteligencia Artificial para Arquitectura y Construcción and Master em Inteligência Artificial para Arquitetura e Construção.
- Varun Bhartiya, Co-founder and CEO of nCircle Tech, recognised for his leadership in technological innovation.
The Spanish edition will include:
- Fernando Iglesias, Head of Innovation at Kronos and Director of the Máster en Inteligencia Artificial para Arquitectura y Construcción.
- Francisco Carmona, Infrastructure Director at QuantIA Ingeniería y Consultoría and lecturer in various ZIGURAT master’s programmes including the Máster en Inteligencia Artificial para Arquitectura y Construcción, Máster en BIM Management and Máster BIM Management en Ingeniería Civil y GIS.
- Carles Farré, Co-founder and Director at AECOTECH, responsible for AI projects in management and construction, also lecturer in ZIGURAT’s AI master’s programme.
The Portuguese AI Congress edition will feature:
- Ítalo Guedes, Deep Learning Specialist, Executive Director at IG Consultoria, and Director of the Master em IA para Arquitetura e Construção.
- Rogério Lima, Generative Design and BIM Specialist, founding partner at AECOTECH, and Co-Director of the Master em IA para Arquitetura e Construção.
