From 25 to 28 March 2019 the international BIM community meets at the buildingSMART International Standards Summit in Düsseldorf, Hilton Hotel. The focus of this internationally high-ranking conference on the digitization of the construction industry will be the further development of open and manufacturer-neutral standards and interfaces. On 29 March 2019 the17th buildingSMART User Day is taking place at the same location. This day offers more than 35 lectures on current and practice-relevant topics relating to BIM and digitization in the construction and real estate industries. Around 500 participants are expected to attend each of the two major events.

During the buildingSMART International Standards Summit, around 500 participants from all over the world will meet to work on manufacturer-neutral and open standards for BIM and other digital tools and methods for the construction industry. The Summit starts with the Opening Plenary on Monday, 25 March 2019 at 9:30 am.
