This presentation will show how to design steelwork connections in a linked STAAD.Pro model. Various connection types are available, shear, moment, braced gusset and baseplate connections. Furthermore, all connections are fully editable and full calculations are provided for the connections along with dxf drawings.

Richard Tully – Advisory Support Engineer, Structural

He is a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers and Institute of Structural Engineers in the UK and has recently completed 20 years’ service with Bentley Systems UK Ltd. His role within Bentley is to promote the Structural products which include all the programs in the STAAD and RAM brand. He also promotes the tower software such as MStower and OpenTower Building Designer. During my time with Bentley, I was initially involved in growing the products in the UK by providing after-sales services such as training and technical support.
