Tools to create successful projects
The BIM Protocol was first commissioned by the Construction Industry Council (CIC) in 2013 as
part of its response to the UK Government BIM Strategy. The Protocol was drafted for use with
all common construction contracts (i.e. contracts for design and construction in respect of an
asset) and supports BIM working at Level 2.
