About the Project:
 Established in 1961, Penn Elementary
School was the first Iowa City Community School District facility built in
North Liberty. Over the past 50 years, the school was intended to serve 300
students. Now it had grown to about 500 students.

Tejjy Inc. executed the MEP BIM modeling work for the
Elementary School Renovation. The new construction included classrooms,
computer lab, media center, outdoor courtyard, gymnasium, administrative areas
as well as mechanical spaces. The Renovation work included a new sprinkler
system, ceilings, lights, electrical upgrade, new bath fixtures as well as new
finishes.

BIM Scope of Work for
the Project:

MEP BIM engineer of the company created the infrastructural
model of the school’s mechanical room.

Tejjy Inc. undertook the following services for the
construction project, including:

rooms

Quantity take-off/Bill of Material extraction

Tejjy Inc. used Building Information Modeling to
transform the learning environment of the educational institute by renovating the
42,626 sq. ft. Building Space.

BIM engineers of Tejjy Inc. created a BIM
Execution Plan to produce an accurate BIM model for clash detection amongst
various disciplines of architecture, structure and MEP services.

The BIM Modelers developed the Coordination
Drawing at LOD 300 for producing accurate architectural, structural and MEP
plans, to reduce project rework and material wastage.
