Tejjy Inc. Executed Penn Elementary School Renovation with BIM
About the Project:
Established in 1961, Penn Elementary
School was the first Iowa City Community School District facility built in
North Liberty. Over the past 50 years, the school was intended to serve 300
students. Now it had grown to about 500 students.
Tejjy Inc. executed the MEP BIM modeling work for the
Elementary School Renovation. The new construction included classrooms,
computer lab, media center, outdoor courtyard, gymnasium, administrative areas
as well as mechanical spaces. The Renovation work included a new sprinkler
system, ceilings, lights, electrical upgrade, new bath fixtures as well as new

model of the school’s mechanical room.

Mechanical piping for site coordination
Construction in line for as-built renovation
Clash detection and coordination for mechanical
Quantity take-off/Bill of Material extraction
from the BIM model

Execution Plan to produce an accurate BIM model for clash detection amongst
