DESCRIPTION
The candidate will join the 4DCollab project which addresses collaborative 4D/BIM usages through a prospective ergonomics approach. It aims at defining innovative collaborative construction work practices, enabling multi-disciplinary decision-making through novel interaction techniques with 4D/BIM models. Further, the project aims to develop a software prototype for implementing 4D-related features, enabling multi-user decision-making.
DESCRIPTION
LIST is looking for a highly motivated researcher who holds a PhD degree in Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Computer Science for contributing to this project. In particular, her/his focus would be to contribute to the selection and development of ontologies, sets of rules, as well as to supervise and contribute to the development of the information system relying on BIM standards.

Education
Hold a PhD degree in the field of Construction Engineering or Architectural Engineering or Computer Science
Competencies
Have engineering skills, applied to buildings and construction
Have modelling and programming skills in object-oriented design
Possess knowledge in information modelling (formal semantics, reasoning, standardisation, UML, RDF/OWL, linked data)Have technical knowledge in BIM/IFC
Show a track record of researcher dissemination including peer-reviewed publications
Demonstrate excellent communication skills
Have an affinity for applying research results to real-world problems; the ability to develop prototypes and software is an advantage
