Role Overview
•To support the BIM Manager in the implementation of the BIM strategy on the project
•To promote the use of BIM across the project and encourage collaboration between the design and construction teams by using appropriate BIM processes and CAD techniques.
•Identify inefficiencies in current processes and encourage lean principles.
•Process, verify and share incoming survey and design data to eliminate clashes and mitigate risk.
•Assure delivery of Information exchanges
•Confirm Suppliers’ ability to deliver Information requirements
•Accept / Reject Information exchanges within CDE
•Manage spatial coordination at interfaces between Designers

Responsibilities
•Ensure current BIM data is available and used by construction team
•Import and coordinate survey data
•Interrogate and share the “current situation model”
•Feedback information to site engineers and designers on the project
•4D simulation testing construction sequence
•Highlight and mitigate programme and safety risk
•Investigate advancements in technology & BIM
•Ability to delegate tasks to the BIM Technician
•Upskill BIM Technician and construction team
•Provide training sessions for use of Bentley software packages to non-BIM team.

Details of experience and knowledge:
•Bentley AECOsim expert user
•Bentley Navigator experience
•Autodesk experience preferred but non-essential
•Bentley ProjectWise experience (familiar with the use of workflows)
•Synchro Professional & Site Experience
•Understanding of the pillars of BIM and the PAS suite of documents.
•Strong CAD background
•Demonstrable track record of delivering a high quality product to tight deadlines
