Company: ViBIM
Location: Chicago, United States
Year of the project: 2020
Description

ViBIM implemented the 3D BIM coordination project for a contractor in the US. The project had a large number of contractors participated. It required the association of stakeholders weekly and adjustments continuously. ViBIM was responsible for modeling, coordination, shopdrawings, and quantity takeoff.

The hospital project included Revit modeling, MEP coordination of kitchen area. Export shop drawings of the plumbing system as well. Besides, we involved in 360 simulations of the patient room, operating room, and hall.

The project required a series of 3D BIM coordination standards. Help stakeholders together worked well. All models were created with LOD 300.

We processed the project parallel to the construction process. So it required a close association of stakeholders. Based on the input data, we created the federated model of MEP system that had high complexity and dense above the ceiling.

We updated the model, run the clash detection report, and fixed all coordination issues weekly. Help stakeholders make informed decisions in the on-site construction. We used Revit to model, Naviswork to perform QA/AC, and Project Wise to sync data.

The client received Revit models of the plumbing system with shopdrawings. All models met the exact design criteria in the US and 3D BIM coordination files weekly for one year.
