Save time and improve your workflow with dRofus 2.3

dRofus AS Releases Version 2.3 and major API update

Oslo, September 12, 2019 –  dRofus, the leading planning and data management solution for the global building industry, has launched version 2.3 of their software.

One significant update is the expansion of the software’s API and this aligns with the company’s well-known advocacy towards openBIM. Expanding the API allows compatible software within the building industry to embed the dRofus property panel, synchronize and manage data throughout the project lifecycle using dRofus.

It also provides our customers with another method of accessing, visualizing and analyzing their data through dashboarding tools such as Power BI or Tableau. The update indicates that dRofus continues to position themselves as the leading data management solution within the AEC industry.

“Opening up the API creates an opportunity for great partnerships across our industry and the limitations are endless with our creative user base.” said North American Technical Account Director, Brok Howard

There have also been improvements to the software’s IFC functionality. With dRofus you can visualize your IFC files in the Client and separate between single-model visualization in the Client and multi-model visualization on the cloud-based Web solution. With increased bi-directional data sync capabilities, the update further harnesses IFC integration on a deeper level than it ever has before.

“Continual improvement of IFC functionality is paramount to dRofus and the continuous evolution of the software.” adds Åsmund Johansen, dRofus Product Owner.

dRofus 2.3 supports the latest versions of Graphisoft’s ARCHICAD 23 and Autodesk’s Revit 2020. Information can be accessed and changed through the dRofus panel within ARCHICAD and Revit, thus allowing a bi-directional flow of information between the model and dRofus.

As a result of growth in the Asia-Pacific market dRofus have responded by adding language support for both Japanese and (simplified) Chinese.

The new QR code feature on reports allows you to take dRofus reporting with you anywhere on your mobile device simply by scanning it.

dRofus is committed to open standards, a proud member of buildingSMART and driving innovation within the industry.
